Objectives and skills
- The Master Degree in Complementary Means of Diagnosis in Veterinary Nursing intends to train professionals with capacity for research, autonomy and critical spirit in the area of Veterinary Nursing, regarding the application of modern and effective complementary diagnostic techniques. The objective will be the acquisition of competencies that lead to the quality improvement in the various labor sectors in the area of image and laboratory diagnosis, namely biochemical and hematological analyzes of advanced diagnostic techniques of virology, parasitology, microbiology, molecular biology, master the correct behavior in a laboratory and the techniques of biological material manipulation and packaging.
- The intervention aims to complement the skills students have developed throughout the training: communicate, work in multidisciplinary teams, be autonomous in learning, recognizing the importance of lifelong learning and entrepreneurship.
- The Master Degree in Complementary Means of Diagnosis in Veterinary Nursing has as general objectives the training of Masters with technical and scientific capacities aimed at intervening in the various areas of complementary diagnosis used in Veterinary Nursing. As specific objectives, the future Master should be able to clearly define the ways to obtain the best professional solutions in specific areas of means of diagnosis, focusing his concerns towards teamwork in the field of applying modern, effective and fast techniques. It is intended the in depth mastering of the fundamentals of the main complementary diagnostic techniques, in order to effectively master its use, starting to have a dynamic and indispensable role in the team that cares for the diseased animals, endowed with high professionalism, similarly of what occurs in Human Medicine and Veterinary Medicine in other countries.
