Objectives and skills

  • The general competences of this Master's course are the acquisition and deepening of technical and scientific knowledge in the several areas of animal production.
  • These are specific competences of the degree Master of Animal Production Technologies:
    • Acquire habits of experimental procedures with applicability in the productive sector;
    • Develop research capacities in the area of ​​Animal Production;
    • Develop a critical attitude towards the current problems of animal production;
    • Define paths leading to the best solutions in specific areas of animal production, directing their concerns to some of the current problems this sector is facing, such as epidemic vigilance in animal production and traceability of animal products;
    • Understand the importance of the animal production sustainability and respect for the environment, connecting the appropriate treatment of effluents with environmental quality
    • Deepen problem solving capacities in the ​​animal production area, rationalizing production factors in a sustainable way;
    • Understand, execute and implement modern technologies related with animal production;
    • Understand the principles related with the design, planning and management of the several animal productions using new solutions and technologies;
    • Contribute to quality and food safety certification programs.
