The Department of Zootechnics, Rural Engeneering and Veterinary (DZERV) is a unit of education, research, community services and knowledge dissemination in its own areas on the Agrarian School Of Viseu (ESAV). DZERV encompasses the Scientific Areas of Animal Sciences, Veterinary Sciences and Rural Engineering with fields of interest and research in Aquaculture and Fisheries Resources, Meat Science, Hydrology and Irrigation, Histology and Pathological Anatomy, Livestock Facilities and Effluents, Models of Animal Experimentation, Animal Improvement, Animal Nutrition, Milk Production and Reproduction in Small Ruminants.
